ISO Country Code Master File

ISO Country Codes are used in the PunchOut Module to identify the country in an address using the ISO 3166-1 standard, as established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

ISO 3166 is simply an industry-accepted standard for identifying a country.

ISO Country codes are needed when using the PunchOut module and exchanging address information with suppliers electronically, such as Bill-to and Ship-to address information that is include on XML Purchase Orders.

Field	Description
ISO Country code	•Used to reference the Country Code on screens and reports. •A complete list according to ISO can be found here. •Can be 5 characters in length and any combination of letters, numbers, or spaces. •This is a mandatory field. •Once the information is saved, you will not have access to this field. To modify an existing Country Code, use the Rename Utility
Description	•Description of the ISO Country Code. Usually the full name of the Country. •May show on some screens and reports. •This is a mandatory field.
Dialing Prefix	•Used to quality phone numbers on XML Purchase Orders.
Paper Size	•Used to override the default the paper size for reports for users in this country. •While future versions will support other paper sizes, at the time of writing only Letter to A4 paper is supported. To use Letter, leave the field blank or enter "A4" (without the quotes). You can then assign the country code to users in the User Master File.
Accounting Code	•This can be used to replace the ISO Country Code specified in SpendMap when exporting transactions to your Accounting/financial/ERP or other systems. •If this field is populated, the contents of this field it will be used instead of the ISO Country Code entered in SpendMap, when performing transactional interfaces, as well as on related reports. •Sometimes called "code mapping", this allows you to use different coding in SpendMap than in your other systems.
