FOB (Free On Board) codes print on Purchase Orders and define who is responsible for payment of shipping costs and where the title to the goods is transferred to you.
If your supplier is responsible for all shipping costs, the FOB Point is usually specified as "DELIVERED", "DESTINATION" or "FOB" followed by the name of your city, for example, "FOB New York". The title to the goods does not pass to you until the shipment reaches its destination and the goods belong to the supplier while in transit.
If you are responsible for all shipping costs, the FOB is usually specified as "ORIGIN" or the city that the supplier is shipping from. The title to the goods passes to you at the point of shipment and the goods belong to you while in transit.
