Set New Delivery Date/Re-Promise (Releases)

PURCHASING > Releases > Set new delivery date/re-promise
(also available in other areas of the system)

This utility is used to update the delivery date for items on processed Releases and simultaneously increment the number of “re-promises”, which is one of the criteria used to track Supplier Performance.

TIP: Use the Delivery Expediting Notices to remind suppliers and confirm the delivery date for overdue orders.

Questions & Options

1.Select a Release to modify.

2.Select a line on the Release to modify. This takes you to the Set New Delivery Date Screen.

Set New Delivery Date Screen

This screen is used to enter the new delivery date and optionally add a comment to the internal notes for the associated PO.

Since this screen is also used to enter a new deliver date for Purchase Orders, some fields (that are only used for POs) will not be available here.

Field	Description
New Delivery Date	•The Delivery Date Field defaults to the delivery date previously set for the line.
Update delivery date for all lines?	•Check this box to apply the new delivery date to ALL LINES on the Release at once, instead of updating each line separately.
Notes	•If required, you may enter a Comment/Note. The Note will be added to the bottom of the Internal Notes for the applicable PO line item. •Right-mouse-click to access spell check and cut and paste functions.

Button	Description
[OK]	•Save changes and exit.
[CANCEL]	•Exit without saving changes.
[VIEW PO]	•View the PO status details for this line item.
[BOILERPLATE]	•Drop a “Boilerplate” (standard clause) into the notes, when the cursor is on the Notes Field. The Boilerplate content/text will be inserted at the current position of the cursor.
