Modify Portal Menus

PURCHASING > Setup system > Supplier portal > Modify portal menus

This is used to change the names of menu choices and toolbar buttons that your suppliers will see in the Main Menu of the Supplier Portal.

The menu choices will perform the same functions regardless of the titles that are used.

All users will see the same titles for menu choices in order to maintain consistency within the organization. That is, individual users cannot have different titles for the same menu choice (although each user may have access to different menus).

Portal Menu Summary Screen

Double-click on a menu or select [MODIFY]. This takes you to the Menu Detail Screen where you can update menu text and toolbar information for the applicable function/utility.

If you would like to start over, select [REINSTATE DEFAULTS] to revert the titles for all menus back to their original/default titles.

If you have custom menu terminology/language, use [ALTERNATE TEXT] to switch between the default (English) text and your own text.

Portal Menu Details Screen

Fields

Field	Contents
Default Text	•The original title of the menu.
New Menu Text	•The text that you would like to appear in the menu for all users. Regardless of the title/text that you use, the menu will perform the same function when selected by users.
Toolbar Option	•Check this box to include this option in the toolbar that appears below the drop-down menus at the top of the Main Menu, and then fill in the remaining details, below. •The toolbar (sometimes called “favorites”) provides quick “one-click” access to popular functions. However, there is a limit to how many buttons/options can fit in the toolbar.
Button Caption	•This text is displayed on the button itself when large buttons are being displayed. If you add many buttons/options to the toolbar (too many to fit across the screen), the large buttons will change to small buttons, in which case this text will no longer be displayed. However, the Pop-Up Help Text (see below) is still available for small toolbar buttons.
Pop-Up Help Text	•This extended or long description appears beneath the toolbar button in a pop-up preview bubble when you hover your mouse over the button for a few seconds.
Image Position	•This is used to select an image for the toolbar button. •If you would like to change the available images, please contact SpendMap Client Services for instructions.
