Inventory Control > Adjustments > Inventory counts > Fill work area for next cycle count
This is used to fill the Inventory Count Work Area with a subset of your items for an inventory Cycle Count.
You can limit the items that are loaded into the Count Work Area by specifying one or more filters when you run this utility, and/or you can use Establish Cycle Count Frequency to determine when each subset of items needs to be counted.
You can print the Inventory Count Work Area Listing to act as a worksheet and, once the count for each item is entered, you can process the Tickets to update stock levels.
1.Enter one or more filters to limit the items that are added to the Work Area, or leave all fields blank to include all inventory items in the Item Master File, or only those that are ready to be counted based on the last count date for each item and the count frequency settings in Establish Cycle Count Frequency.
For clarity, any filters entered here are in addition to the filters/limits imposed by Establish Cycle Count Frequency.
2.Enter the Ticket number for the first Ticket to be created. The number will automatically increment for each Ticket created in this session.
3.Enter the date of the count. This is the date that SpendMap will use to determine which items are due to be counted.
4.If you maintain multiple stock locations/warehouses, you have various options for creating Tickets for multiple-location items:
a.Do not include stock location on ticket: Will create a single Ticket for each item and will leave the location field blank. You can then fill in the location for each ticket in the Work Area or use the [DEFAULT] button to mass-update the field for each Ticket.
b.Create a ticket for each of the item's defined stock locations: Will create a Ticket for each location defined for the item on the Location/Bin Details Screen.
c.Create a ticket for every stock location in the location master file: A Ticket will be created for every item-location combination.
d.Create a ticket for a specific list of stock locations: You can pick one or more locations to include. A Ticket will be created for each item, and each location specified.
e.Create a ticket for each location that stock currently exists for the item: This will create an Inventory Ticket for each location that stock currently exists for the item.
