This is used to move one or many reserved stock transactions into the Usage Work Area.
While you can also select an individual reserved stock transaction to match a usage to when entering usages manually into the Usage Work Area, using this utility will be faster if moving many reserved stock transactions. This might be the case if, for example, many items were reserved for a project or event and now the event is taking place and so all related items need to come out of stock.
You can enter a search/query against the Comment Field to convert all reserved stock with that comment into usages. You can use an exact match on the search/query or a left-to-right match and you can also enter a cut-off date, in case you only want to convert some of the related reserved stock into usages (e.g. if part of the project/event is complete).
NOTE: Stock is IMMEDIATELY un-reserved when this utility is run. If the subsequent usages are deleted or modified in the Usage Work Area, the stock will not be re-reserved. |
