Country Code Master File

PURCHASING > Master Files > Country Codes > Add/Modify/Delete

Country Codes are used in addresses throughout SpendMap, such as the supplier's address and the bill-to/ship-to addresses on Purchase Orders.

It is important to use valid, industry-accepted country codes when exchanging address information with suppliers, especially when using the PunchOut module to send orders to your suppliers electronically.

Country Codes Master File Screen

Field	Description
Country code	•Used to reference the Country on screens and reports. •Can be up to 5 characters in length and any combination of letters, numbers, or spaces, but country codes are usually 2 or 3 digits. •This is a mandatory field. •Once the information is saved, you will not have access to this field. To modify an existing Country Code, use the Rename Utility
Description	•Description of the Country Code. Usually the full name of the Country. •May show on some screens and reports. •This is a mandatory field.
Dialing Prefix	•Used to quality phone numbers on XML Purchase Orders.
Paper Size	•Used to override the default the paper size when users in this country print reports. You can assign the country code to users in the User Master File. •While future versions will support other paper sizes, at the time of writing, only Letter size and A4 paper is supported. To use Letter size, leave the field blank, otherwise enter "A4" (without the quotes).
Accounting Code	•This can be used to replace the Country Code specified in SpendMap when exporting transactions to your Accounting/financial/ERP or other systems. •If this field is populated, the contents of this field it will be used instead of the Country Code entered in SpendMap, when performing transactional interfaces, as well as on related reports. •Sometimes called "code mapping", this allows you to use different coding in SpendMap than in your other systems.
