These settings are used to allow users to log into SpendMap using their Active Directory credentials, so that passwords do not need to be maintained continuously within SpendMap. This is especially beneficial if your policies are to change passwords frequently.

These settings are used in conjunction with the Windows User ID field in the [NAME/ADDRESS] Folder of the User Master File.

If you don't want to use Active Directory integration for password management, SpendMap also supports internal password management.

IMPORTANT: If Active Directory support is ever disabled (by deleting the contents of the Distinguished Name field), for security reasons the Windows User ID field in the [NAME/ADDRESS] Folder of the User Master File will be deleted and all of the system’s user passwords will be set to the user ID itself. Each user will then be forced to select a new password upon their next log into the system.
