REQUISITIONS AND APPROVAL > Item requisitions > Item requisition templates

 

Item Requisition Templates are used to save time when creating common (repetitive) Item Requisitions.

Rather than creating Reqs from scratch each time, you can create Templates that can be copied into your Item Requisition Work Area or your Item Requisition Shopping Cart and then modified as required.

To copy a Template to create an actual Item Req, click the [COPY] button on the Item Requisition Work Area Summary Screen in your Item Requisition Work Area.

Questions & Options

Item Req Templates use the same screens as creating new Item Reqs in your Item Req Work Area, with the following exceptions:

1.When you [ADD] or [COPY] a Template, before you are bought to the Item Req (Header) screen, you will be prompted for a Template Code.

2.The [PUNCHOUT] and [HOLD] buttons are disabled.

3.Certain fields, such as the charge-to Cost Center, Ship-To and Required-By date are not accessible. These fields can be filled in when the template is copied to create an actual Req.
