This can be used to view high-level stock status information for an item (amount in-stock, reserved, available and on-order) as well as a summary of inventory-related transactions for the item (recent activity, pending/open receipts and reserved stock transactions for the item, etc.).
The Inventory Planning Utility is essentially a “one-stop-shop” for inventory related information for an item and can be useful when making decisions about item demand and stock replenishment requirements.
Similar information is available in report format on the Inventory Planning Report.
1.You will be prompted to include reserved stock in usage totals. This will affect the values that you will see in the [USAGE HISTORY] folder. If usages are typically posted in short order for stock that has been reserved, you may want to include the quantity of the reserved stock in the usage totals (even though usages haven’t been posted yet) if the related usages will be posted soon.

This folder displays high-level stock status information for the item.
The fields at the top of the screen come from the Item Master File while the fields at the bottom of the screen are calculated based on the item’s history.
To view additional details including a breakdown of stock levels by location/warehouse, click the [VIEW STOCK DETAILS] button to go to the View Current Inventory Levels utility.
This folder lists expected receipts for the item based on the delivery dates specified for open PO line items.
To view the PO Status Details of the applicable PO line item, click [VIEW PO].
This folder lists reserved stock transactions for the item.
This folder displays a summary of weekly or monthly Inventory Usage history for the item.
Click [VIEW MONTH/WEEK] to alternate between displaying monthly and weekly totals.
This folder lists a summary of recent Purchase Order transactions for the item.
To view the PO Status Details of the applicable PO line item, click [VIEW PO].
