Document Finder

(Any module) > Help > Document finder

This utility can be used to find all occurrences of a PO or other document number throughout the system.

This utility can be useful if you don’t know the current state of a document. For example, a requisition that you processed may have been converted into a PO or a Release or an RFQ. Instead of going to the View Status utilities for each possible document type to search for your requisition, you can use this utility to find out what happened to it.

Again, this is just one example. You can search for other document types as well, including:

•Purchase orders

•Requisitions

•RFQs

•Releases

•Invoices

•Packing slips

Enter the details of the document and click [NEXT] to start the search.

Fields

Field	Description
Document number	•The document to search for.
Document type	•You must also select the type of document that you are searching for as the same number might be used on multiple document types.
Also search user work areas	•If you select () this option, SpendMap will scan all unprocessed documents in users’ Work Areas for the document number, in addition to searching processed documents/transactions. While this will result in a more complete search, it will take longer.
