The Summary Report lists high-level stock status information for an item (amount in-stock, reserved, available and on order).
The Detail Report includes the same information as the Summary Report, plus additional summaries of inventory-related transactions for the item (recent activity, pending/open receipts and reserved stock transactions for the item, etc.).
The Inventory Planning Reports are useful when making decisions about item demand and stock replenishment requirements.

Noteworthy Questions & Options
•Include reserved stock in usage totals? If usages are typically posted in short order for stock that has been reserved, you may want to include the quantity of the reserved stock in the usage totals that show on the reports (even though usages haven’t been posted yet).
