This utility is used to purge old transactions from the Master File Update Log.
The Master File Update Log accumulates data based on the settings in Master File Update Log Settings.
If you are tracking changes to many Master Files and/or if you make a large number of changes on a regular basis, a large amount of data can accumulate, so you may want to purge more often than yearly.
IMPORTANT: Data that is purged is non-recoverable. If you are purging information that may be required for audit purposes, ensure that the appropriate reports are printed and retained for your records and/or a backup is performed before the data is purged. |
Noteworthy Questions & Options
•The “up to and including” date refers to the transaction date. Any transactions dated after the date entered will not be affected by the purge.
