Delete Old Cost Center Budget Fiscal Period

PURCHASING > Utility > Purge and archive history > Delete old Cost Center budget fiscal periods

 
This utility is used to purge old Cost Center budget periods, so that the budget information for those periods no longer shows on budget-related screens and reports.

This will also delete the budgeted amounts entered in the Cost Center Master File.

To add/create new fiscal periods, use the  [CREATE NEW FISCAL PERIOD] button, in Cost Center History/Budget Settings.

 

Noteworthy Questions & Options

You will be prompted to enter "the up to and including" date. This allows you to delete multiple budget periods in one step, if required.
 
Enter the last day of the most recent fiscal year that you would like to purge.  For example, if your fiscal period coincides with the calendar year and you enter December 31, 2020, then the system will purge budgets up to and including December 31, 2020 (including all of 2019, 2018, 2017, etc.).
 
Since you cannot delete part of a budget period, if you enter a date other than the last day of the fiscal year, the date will be adjusting accordingly and you will be notified.
