Description |

Select scan type for each area |
•There are three ways (methods) to get scanned barcode information into SpendMap. Since your preferred scanning method may be different for each transaction type, you can select a different method for each transaction type here. •Your selection will affect what happens when you click the [SCAN BARCODE] button in the applicable area of the system.
|
||||
Action for barcode BATCH scan errors |
•This determines what will happen if using Batch Process (see previous setting, above) and SpendMap cannot recognize the scanned item. |
||||
Audible tone for successful barcode BATCH scan? (desktop only) |
•This determines whether or not you will hear a tone (beep) for each successful scan if using Batch Process when using the desktop application. •The tone can eliminate the need to look at the screen to confirm that the scan was successful. |

Allow assigning of UPC barcodes on-the-fly during on-line scanning? |
•This option can be used to allow adding of supplier UPC barcode numbers to items in Item Master File on-the-fly as you work in SpendMap. •When this box is checked, if you scan a valid UPC number that is not yet associated with an item, you will be prompted to select the applicable item and supplier codes. The UPC will then be associated with the item for future scanning. •This feature saves you from having to exit the area you are working in to go to the Item Master File to set up UPC numbers but the end result is the same. |
||||
Default quantity to (1) one when scanning items? |
•Eliminates the need to enter the quantity for each transaction if you typically scan each item separately (as opposed to scanning only the first of many items and then entering the quantity separately). |
